A few of the trophies
on display for the event |
April 8, 2004…. A few months of work by the
Central Valley Chapter of Safari Club International gave fruit last
Saturday at their 8th annual Banquet and Fundraiser in Oakdale.
The beverages flowed and the girls sold
tickets as I watched the rest of the board members making last minute
preparations to make sure the event went well.
The group did an excellent job and
everything went really well for all those that attended.
For those that put out the big bucks, the
majority were well rewarded with some really nice prizes such as guns and
other merchandise.

The food was great, the people were great
and winning a couple new rifles to put in my safe was even better!
It’s funny when you win a new hunting gun,
what started as a good evening suddenly becomes a great one!
Actually several of the board members had
won guns during the evening. But that’s because they spend big dollars on
the raffle tickets.
I have been to so many dinners it’s really
hard to write about the entire evening. Or maybe its kind of hard to
remember the entire evening!

crowd really loved the camaraderie
the two had during the event.
I think the board had a good time even
though they worked their tail off before, during and after the event.
The main thing is there was enough money
raised to put on the local pheasant hunting events again this year!
Be sure and keep your eyes peeled for DFG
applications on the net so you can get in on these fine hunts this year!
Enough of the bull here are some pictures
shot during the night! Excuse me if they get a little blurry but you
should have seen them from my view! Hee Hee!
