GET UM NOW, IT WON'T LAST FOREVER!
December 16, 2004.... The ducks have migrated down to the grasslands in
huge numbers and hunters are bagging easy limits
GOTTA TAKE THE BAD WITH THE GOOD!
December 9, 2004.... Last weekend duck hunting was for the birds,
literally!
THE COLD HAS GOT THEM MOVING!
December 2, 2004.... Duck hunting last weekend was much improved

DUCKS & BASS MAKE A FULL WEEKEND
November 18, 2004.... The reports I've been getting have painted a
pretty dismal duck hunting season to date. However, my trips have been
great compared to the reports
DUCK HUNTING WAS SLOW BUT STILL GOOD
November 11, 2004.... Duck hunting was so so last Saturday. We downed a
pair of Woodies and then
DUCK OPENER HIT & MISS!
November 5, 2004.... The Duck Opener for the rest of the state in
California was not very good and in some areas was down right
terrible!

his upcoming Nor-Cal Tournament of Champions event
THE DEER ARE ON THE MOVE
October 25, 2004.... These last few storms have been awesome for deer
hunters. Most hunters worth there salt have downed bucks the last few
days.
DUCK OPENER IN THE NORTH!
October 21, 2004…. Last Saturday Duck-A-Holics from all over the state
headed to northern California and Oregon for the waterfowl season
opener.
BASS IN THE BOAT AND DUCKS ON THE BRAIN!
October 7, 2004.... Ron Fisher called recently wanting a black
bass fix as it has been a while since he has caught anything of
any size.

Back to the Grind!
September 14, 2004.... Well after a couple months of R&R from surgery, its
back to the old grind at the Modesto Bee.
Will water flow in the San Joaquin River once again!
September 8, 2004.... About 15 years ago the Modesto Chapter of
the California Striped Bass Association sent me on a small plane
ride to follow the San Joaquin River from the Friant Dam
downstream.

THE WONDERS OF THE BANANA
July 15, 2004.... For years I have always felt bananas were the worst
thing that a fisherman could bring aboard a boat!

Bass Ranch. I can remember taking my mom and grandson and they could catch
fish up to 10 pounds

April 29, 2004…. I recently joined a private fishing club nestled in
the foothills near Angels Camp. It’s a neat area with one large pond
and two smaller ponds within walking distance.

April 22, 2004.... The black bass bite at Lake McClure and Lake Don
Pedro has been red hot, making it hard to go to another lake to play
for the day.

April 15, 2004.... For the past couple Saturdays, Kelly Cornelsen, my
physical therapist and I have been fishing together.

April 8, 2004…. A few months of work by the Central Valley Chapter
of Safari Club International gave fruit last Saturday at their 8th
annual Banquet and Fundraiser in Oakdale.

March 25, 2004.... What a weekend. On Saturday I took my cousin Blaine
Wilson to
Lake McClure to show him some great spotted bass fishing.

March 18, 2004.... As I filled out the pass at the entrance gate
of Lake McClure, I heard the wakeup call of a gobbler from across
the lake.

March 11, 2004…. Dan Bacher, outdoor political reporter, writer
and jack-of-all-trades for the Fish Sniffer News staff, reeled in
a trout with a big grin on his face.

March 4, 2004…. With the weatherman predicting beautiful weather,
I figured it was time to get a black bass fix.

A NEW HONEY HOLE TO CHECK OUT!
February 26, 2004.... Last Saturday I took a trip to the foothills
near Angels Camp with my cousin Blaine Wilson, son Donald and
grandson Derrick, to fish a private bass fishing resort that Blaine
belongs to.
BACK TO CAMANCHE FOR MORE ACTION!
February 19, 2004.... Blaine reeled in another small trout but
tossed it back. The fish were on the bite in the first hour and a
half of fishing but they were on the small side. We boated 14 trout,
but only three went in the box.

ON CAMANCHE!
February 12, 2004.... Saturday morning, the stars were out and it
looked like it was going to be a nice day of fishing at Lake
Camanche.
HANG UP THE HUNTING
BOOTS AND GET OUT THE FISHING RODS!

I left the house
in time to arrive at my cousin Blaine Wilson’s house at 6 am. Blaine
was waiting to hook his boat to my truck and go trout fishing at
Lake Don Pedro.

CALIFORNIA DUCK HUNTING NEEDS HELP!
January 29, 2004…. For the past two years I’ve been chasing ducks all
season long. I hunted the rivers and game refugees, San Luis mainly.
LETS PUT MAN BACK ON TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN!
January 15, 2004.... Man came to this continent and decided he could make
it a better place to live then the Indians who lived here at the time.
Since that time we have been altering mother nature in one way or another.
PLENTY OF EXCITEMENT AND LOT'S OF PAIN!
January 8, 2004.... New member of team Autolife Outdoors, Tommy
Lucas IV, 10 years old Of Modesto got his first duck, a drake
widgeon. Then after lunch, Tommy landed a 41-1/2 inch striped bass!
HUNTING'S
NOT THE ONLY REASON TO BE OUT THERE!
January 1, 2004.... Saturday it looked like the ducks had finally
arrived. There were several flights of ducks continually flying
overhead until well past noon. Of course the majority of them were a
mile or more high.
