Description
Lake Britton and Pit Number 3 Dam are located in Shasta County
on the Pit River. The Pit Number 3 Dam is a gravel dam owned by
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and was completed in
1925. Recreational activities at Lake Britton include fishing,
swimming, camping, water-skiing, picnicking, and boating. The
campgrounds, picnic area, and fishing access areas are owned and
operated by PG&E.
