Antelope Lake

  • Description
    Antelope Lake is at 5002 ft. elevation and has 15 miles of shoreline. Trees are mostly conifers, predominantly Pine and Douglas Fir. Temperatures run in the 70's and 80's and summer thundershowers are possible. The Lake provides swimming, fishing and water skiing. California Department of Fish and Game plants the lake with fish regularly. There is a store in the Boulder Creek area with a large selection of groceries, ice, bait and souvenirs. There is a boat ramp and dock available.

    Northwest Park Management operates four U.S. Forest Service campgrounds in the Antelope Lake Recreation Area with a total of 198 sites. Campgrounds are near the lake and have vault toilets and piped in water. No hookups are available. All sites have a parking spur, picnic table and fire ring-bbq. Sites will accommodate up to 27 ft trailers comfortably and occupancy is limited to 6 persons and 2 vehicles per site.. Maximum stay is 14 days. Reservations are available at selected campsites throughout the area. Facilities are generally open from May to October.
