Description
New Melones Lake
is located approximately 10 miles northeast of Sonora in the
foothills of the Sierra Nevada's in the heart of the Mother Lode
Gold Country. New Melones contains over 100 miles of shoreline and
is considered one of California's prime recreation lakes. There are
several campgrounds located near the lake suitable for both tents
and RV's. All boating is permitted as well as water skiing and jet
skis. A full service marina is available as well as improved launch
facilities and boat rentals.
