French Meadows Reservoir is located on the American River approximately 58 miles east of Auburn in the majestic Sierra Nevada's. French Meadows Reservoir is man-made and is approximately 3 1/2 miles long. There are numerous camping facilities available suitable for tent and group camping. All boating is permitted as well as water skiing and jet skis with improved launching facilities available.
